Getting started

Setup your crypto wallet: In order to buy NFTs, it is first necessary to have a wallet of crypto-assets which will allow you to store your NFTs. It is your passport into this new world. The most commonly used wallet and the one we recommend for its simplicity is the Metamask wallet. We invite you to follow these steps to create your wallet and buy your first NFT

0. Click on the wallet button on the top right corner of the website to start your journey.

 ...

1. Click on Create Wallet.

 ...

2. Install Metamask on your browser.

 ...

3. Click on Create a Wallet.

 ...

4. Create your password.

 ...

5. Make sure to write down your secret recovery phrase on a piece of paper! It it the only way to recover your wallet.

 ...

6. Congratulations, you have now created your crypto wallet! The public key corresponds to the unique identifier of your wallet, just like the IBAN of your bank account. With it, you will be able to transfer and receive crypto-currencies and NFTs.

 ...

7. The next step is to buy ETH, the currency used to purchase NFTs. The easiest way to do so for a beginner is directly on metamask.

 ...

8. Choose Moonpay to continue.

 ...

9. Choose the amount of ETH you want to buy. For example if you would like to purchase a photograph from North Korea by Stephan Gladieu, you will need a little bit more than 1 ETH, for the cost of the photograph and small additional transfer fees.

You can then follow the instructions given by Moonpay to proceed. You will be asked to photograph your ID card and provide some personal information.

*Warning: Some bank consider Moonpay as an ATM and limit the transfer amount. Don't hesitate to contact you bank to solve the problem.

 ...

10. Now you have your Crypto-Wallet with your ETH inside. You can now purchase a photograph on our website, just click on the Connect Wallet button on the top right corner of the page.

 ...

11. Click on Buy and select the number of photographs you want. Note that each photograph will cost 1 ETH but the transfer fees won’t increase with the number of photographs you purchase.
